Prospect Injury Report

The report is not exhaustive. We aim to cover substantial injuries to elite prospects.

New injuries

Dominic Brown will miss three to four weeks with a broken finger. He broke his finger while getting hit by pitch -- stayed in for the rest of that game; has since been put on the DL.

Reese Havens has been put on the 7-day DL with a quadriceps injury.

Michael Ynoa is out with a sore elbow and had a MRI on it last week. He was given a record signing bonus for international prospects last year.

Returned from injuries

Nick Barnese has returned from shoulder tendonitis to the Bowling Green Hot Rods. In his first outing back, he pitched 5.0 innings and allowed 4 hits, 1 earned run, and 0 walks while striking out seven batters. His next outing only lasted one inning (0 ER, 1 HR, 0 BB, 0 K).

Logan Morrison has returned after missing two months with a fractured wrist. He has doubled in three-of-six games since returning.

Josh Reddick has gone 5-for-21 with one extra-base hit after missing five weeks with a strained oblique -- he returned on June 9th.

Casper Wells has homered in three of his first six games back from broken hamate bone, an injury that typically sapps power for 12-18 months. He was out for approximately two months due to the injury.

Still Injuried

Dellin Betances (elbow injury), Lorenzo Cain (torn PCL), Ivan De Jesus (broken tibia), Kelvin De La Cruz (elbow), Brandon Erbe (shoulder weakness), Jeremy Hellickson (shoulder injury), Jairo Heredia (unknown Injury), Shooter Hunt (strained groin), Jay Jackson (leg injury), Carlos Triunfel (broken fibula), Ryan Westmoreland (shoulder surgery), Chris Valaika (broken bone in his hand).

Jose Tabata played on June 10th going 0-2 in 2 at bats and has yet to play again due to a strained right hamstring.
