New Injuries
Yonder Alonso broke his hamate bone on June 18th and could miss the rest of the regular season.
Bryan Anderson could miss the remainder of the season due to a seperated left shoulder from a collision at the plate.
Dallas Buck left in the third inning of his June 26th start with an injury.
Justin Smoak missed the first three weeks in June due to a strained oblique.
Matt Sweeney is on the 7-day DL with a hip injury. He has not played since June 7th.
Yankee third base prospect Brad Suttle will need a second shoulder surgery and will be out for the season. He had labrum surgery after the 2008 season.
Returned From Injuries
Dellin Betances pitched two thirds of an inning on June 24th, and allowed three hits and walked three in his return from an elbow injury.
Reese Havens returned on June 22nd after missing about three weeks with a quadriceps injury.
Brandon Erbe return from shoulder weakness on June 19th. He pitched an inning and gave up two runs on four hits with a strike out. He went three innings in his next start, giving a run on a hit while striking out three. He gave up a home run in each outing,
Jeremy Hellickson returned from shoulder injury to pitch four innings and gave up no runs on four hits while striking out six on June 22th. In his second start back, he pitched five innings and gave up two runs on four hits while walking one and again striking out six.
Shooter Hunt returned with a strained groin with the GCL Twins on June 24th.
Jay Jackson returned a leg injury on June 14th. He only missed a couple of weeks due to the injury.
Jose Tabata has returned after missing all of May and part of June with a strained right hamstring.
Ryan Westmoreland has return from shoulder surgery playing in short-season ball with Lowell. He has an 18.8% walk rate and 13.5% strikeout rate through 37 plate appearances. Due to the injury, Westmoreland did not play after being drafted in 2008.
Since returning from a broken bone in his hand on June 18th, Chris Valaika has gone 8-for-26 with two doubles.
Still Injuried
Dominic Brown (broken finger), Lorenzo Cain (torn PCL), Ivan De Jesus (broken tibia), Jairo Heredia (unknown injury), and Carlos Triunfel (broken fibula).
