Screened from a horde of middle-aged autograph seekers, 18-year-old Bryce Harper got some hacks in yesterday during batting practice. The stadium music was turned off when he stepped up to the plate. Everyone just listened.
Since seeing Harper take BP is pretty popular right now, I figured I'd do my best to channel a glimpse of what it's like for those of you who haven't had the pleasure.
One of the last hitters to take batting practice for Scottsdale, Harper shagged fly balls in center field before stepping up to the plate. He impressed me with his instincts and athleticism.
