I caught Tyler Matzek's March 22, 2011 start from right behind the plate and condensed every pitch into the 3-minute video to the right.
I'll put together a detailed report in the future, but know for now that almost every pitch he threw was a fastball -- he even threw almost exclusively fastballs during his between-innings warmups. You should be able to pick out the curveballs.
This exercise is meant to allow fans to put together their own opinions and discuss them.
Matzek struck out three of the 11 batters he faced in this outing and walked four. He got two ground balls and two fly balls. He was removed prior to recording three outs in both the second and third innings.
